Energy Retrofit Best Practice —Dynamic, Inter-active Presentations

Energy Retrofit Best Practice is yet another new feature at the Energy Show 2012.  The objective of this dynamic area is to demonstrate — through free-standing displays, practical demonstrations and audio presentation — best practice insulation installations with specific reference to retrofit solutions for the Irish residential sector.

The theme of the entire area will focus on insulation products and systems, with particular emphasis on best practice installation to ensure performance excellence, along with compliance with SEAI specifications. It will feature purpose-designed demonstration rigs and cut-away examples detailing:

  • Product types;
  • Where they can be installed;
  • Who should install them;
  • How they should be installed;
  • Meeting SEAI specification criteria;
  • Thermal values, airtightness and thermal bridging;
  • Meeting ventilation specifications.

The practical demonstrations and accompanying voice-over presentations will run at regular intervals throughout both days of the show. The presenters will also take questions, while visitors to the stand will be able to walk-through the displays and discuss them in more detail.
