Technical Steering Group

The Environmental Report will be prepared by an Environmental Consultant under the direction of a Technical Steering Group, made up initially of representatives from the following bodies:

• Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food
• Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources
• Department of Arts, Sports and Tourism
• Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government
• Department of Transport
• Department of Defence
• Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
• Sustainable Energy Ireland
• Marine Institute

The first meeting was held on the 29^th October 2009 and it was decided to extend invitations to the following organisations to nominate representatives to sit on the SEA Technical Steering Group.

• National Parks and Wildlife Service
• Marine Renewables Industry Association
• National Offshore Wind Association of Ireland
• EirGrid
• Irish Environmental Network
• Geological Survey of Ireland
