We have exciting opportunities in the SME, Support Scheme for Renewable Heat, and Commercial Retrofit/Microgeneration programmes within the Business Support Department. Within SEAI, the Business Support Department develops, administers and manages a number of focussed energy programmes, designed to support a range of small to large businesses to implement energy efficiency and renewable approaches to deliver on the Climate Action Plan targets.

The successful candidates will join an enthusiastic and innovative team who are committed to the high-quality delivery of SEAI’s supports to small and large commercial energy users. These supports include the Energy Academy, the Support Scheme for Energy Audits, the Support Scheme for Renewable Heat, the Non-Domestic Microgeneration Grant, the Large Industry Energy Network, and the Excellence in Energy Efficient Design (EXEED) programme and upcoming Non-Domestic Retrofit Scheme.

We have an exciting opportunity in the Legal Team in SEAI’s Governance and Procurement Department.

The Legal Advisor role will sit in the Governance and Procurement Department within SEAI’s Corporate Services Directorate and will report to SEAI’s Senior Legal Counsel, who in turn reports to Head of Governance.

The successful candidate will join a friendly and hard-working team who are committed to the high-quality delivery of SEAI’s legal requirements. The successful candidate working with the Senior Legal Counsel and colleagues will have a varied workload, providing professional services and/or advice to operational teams on matters impacting SEAI’s programmes.  The work environment is dynamic and provides an opportunity to be at the forefront of decarbonisation discussions and climate action matters.

We have an exciting opportunity in the District Heating Centre of Excellence in the Decarbonised Heat & System Support Department.

The Decarbonised Heat & System Support Department is new to SEAI and will comprise of the transfer of existing functions plus the establishment of the new national District Heating Centre of Excellence. The existing functions comprise of the Decarbonised Heating and Cooling research function, the Single Point of Contact service for consenting in renewable energy projects and the SEAI Sustainable Energy Communities, Schools and RESS programmes.

The District Heating Centre of Excellence is a national team, who are committed to delivery of programme areas, which include:

  • Market Development - Promote district heating nationally providing leadership and representation for the sector leveraging experience of the Centre of Excellence to deliver informed insights, guidance, and data.
  • District Heating Strategy - Support the development of district heating nationally ensuring strategic objectives and outcomes are achieved.
  • District Heating Support Unit - Support development and deployment of District Heating schemes nationally providing guidance and expertise to the sector.

The successful candidate will report to the Programme Manager of the District Heating Strategy Programme.
