Head, Business and Public Sector Department

The Head, Business and Public Sector will provide strategic leadership to the team covering full range of business programmes (public and private sector). Programmes facilitate capacity building through a combination of knowledge sharing, mentoring financial supports and collaborate partnerships with public sector and business, including Large Industry Energy Network (LIEN) and services to SME’s.

As a member of SEAI’s Senior Management Team, the role holder will also be expected to take a key role in organisation-level strategic thinking, engagement of stakeholders, and communication of key messages.

Candidtates must have at least five years’ experience in leadership, communication and strategic management at a senior level.

Role will be based: Dublin office.

Chief Executive Officer

This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to lead the SEAI through a period of growth and transformation and to contribute to Ireland’s Climate Action and Decarbonisation goals.

SEAI seeks applications from high-calibre individuals for the position of Chief Executive Officer. The Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for the leadership and management of the SEAI through this transformational phase, and for leading and managing the programmes required to deliver on Ireland’s ambitious decarbonisation targets. The role involves oversight of an annual budget of more than €330 million and a direct workforce expected to grow to more than 230 employees.

Programme Executive – Energy Modelling

We are currently recruiting for three Programme Executives to join the Modelling team. All three will join an analytical and technically expert team within SEAI who are focussed on understanding energy systems and providing evidence-based solutions to inform decision-making. These roles are responsible for providing detailed technical analysis to support the work of the energy modelling team and the wider Data and Insights team in their role to provide expert analytical advice to policy makers in the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications (DECC). Focus of the team is on modelling potential solutions and pathways for decarbonisation of heat, electricity and transport in Ireland.

Programme Executive – National Retrofit Programme. Housing Grant Scheme and One Stop Shop Development Programme.

The Housing Grant Scheme is Ireland’s national retrofit initiative aimed at upgrading the Irish housing stock to high standards of energy efficiency and renewable energy usage, thereby reducing fossil fuel usage, energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions. By supporting project structures that can be easily replicated, the Housing Grant Scheme hopes to showcase retrofit project models that can be implemented without SEAI support in the future.

The role of the Programme Executive – Housing Grant Scheme – Programme Technical Support is to provide support to the Programme Manager in the oversight, evaluation and continuous technical analysis and review of grants awarded as part of the scheme.
