The role

SEAI seeks applications from high-calibre individuals for four new Director positions. The Directors will be responsible for the leadership and management of directorates in SEAI through a truly transformational phase, and for leading and managing the programmes required to deliver on Ireland's ambitious decarbonisation targets. The four Directorates include National Retrofit, Research and Policy Insight, Business and Public Sector and Corporate Services. The Directors with the CEO will form the Executive Leadership Team that will lead SEAI. These positions are new to SEAI and will ensure SEAI is fit-for purpose to deliver its significantly increased mandate.

The person

The successful candidates will have proven track records as leaders and senior managers in large or complex organisations. They will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the skills and experience required of those working at board level within a large organisation and appropriate to the specific Directorates. The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of, a passion for and strong dedication to climate action with the ability to inspire action and deliver results.

Programme Executive - Pathfinder Support

This position will play a key role in the Project Support Unit as a Programme Executive. The Project Support Unit within the Business and Public Sector Department is responsible for the design and development of programmes and initiatives supporting primarily the public sector but also the private sector in the practical implementation of energy efficiency and decarbonisation strategies. A range of services will be delivered, encompassing options such as Public Sector pathfinder initiatives, project supports, and technology specific supports (focused on relevant significant energy users). The successful candidate will have a particular focus on the support of capital grant pathfinder programmes for the Public Sector with particular focus on building services and building energy modelling.
